Casa da Pedra has two double rooms, with beds for two, and two twin rooms, each one with two single beds. All rooms have private bathrooms.
In Casa da Pedra all rooms are different and have some feature that stands out and differentiates them. In common, they have the care with comfort, with the details seeking to provide a refreshing rest and the detail of my mother’s choice at every object of the décor.
It is green as the immensity seen from its windows, both from the mountain and also from the pool lawn. The Double bed, with hand embroidered sheets and a linen quilt, made by fairy’s hands, is covered with red rose petals from the garden, whenever the bride and groom choose this room for their wedding night.
The colours of camellias and hydrangeas enter through the window of this room as well as the tangerine that can be seen in the patio bellow.
From another window the endless sunset shades, flirting and excessive, can be contemplated. In this room we can add an extra bed and accommodate a child up to 12 years of age.
This room is named after the golden headboards of both beds and the apricot quilts, from where you can see without being seen what happens outside, delighting yourself with the stories whispered by the local people, right there in the path.
This room has a separate entrance, through the reading room, with direct access to the outside, offering to those choosing this room an even greater privacy.
One of the walls of this room shows one of the House’s owner favourite paintings - the Sunflower Painting. The colours of this picture, together with the bronze and brown tones of the furniture and the various pieces that decorate this room, give it a special warmth and a particular character.
Casa do Valinho is rather attractive for those looking for a more prolonged stay, offering all required amenities to cook your own meals.
It is a modular house that enables apartment type housing accommodating up to 8 adults and 4 children. So, this house can become a one bedroom, two bedrooms, three bedrooms, or four bedrooms apartment. In Casa do Valinho the sunny wooden porch is a key element, offering pleasant moments of conviviality, relaxation, reading, or of simple flirt with the landscape.
This apartment has two double rooms, with private bathrooms, decorated with traditional Portuguese tiles, all with different colors and motives. The Emerald Room has a gracious balcony that lets in the scent of rosemary growing near the house. The other one, the Lagar room, in shades of blue, offers a different floor, where rock and glass mix. This room, with direct access to the outside, is situated where once stood the house’s wine press. The apartment also has a kitchenette and a living and dining room.
In this apartment there is a field, where guests may enjoy relaxation moments and have outdoor meals. It has two double rooms with private bathrooms, decorated with traditional Portuguese tiles, all with different motives and colours. The Eira room has a window with a view to the place where in the old days the farmers used to thresh and sieve the cereals. The Red Room, my favorite, has a lovely balcony overlooking the mountain. The apartment also has a kitchenette and a living and dining room.
If you wish to do so, it is possible to enjoy the unique features of both apartments, turning them into a single space, even larger and with more possibilities. The Holiday House allows the accommodation with four double rooms with private bathrooms, two kitchenettes, a larger dining room, a living, and reading room, the privacy of the field and the wooden porch in exclusive.
